Low Carb Mozzarella Salmon Cake Recipe

Super easy, rich and flavorful yet not heavy, these low carb salmon cakes are so good! Loaded with mozzarella cheese and fried crispy in bacon grease, this is a salmon cake recipe that you will definitely want to save. Great for a Keto diet, each super low carb cake has less than 1 net gram of carbs!

Ingredients

  • 14 3/4 ounce canned salmon drained
  • 2 large pastured eggs
  • 4 tbsp collagen hydrolysate
  • 2 tsp dill weed, dried
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded whole milk
  • 1/2 tsp pink sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp bacon grease

Instructions

  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except bacon grease. Mix well to combine.
  • Heat bacon grease in a large saute pan over medium-low heat.
  • Divide salmon mixture into four equal parts.
  • Shape each quarter into a patty and gently place in hot grease.
  • Fry for 3-4 minutes, or until the bottom side is golden brown and firm.
  • Gently flip the patties and fry on the other side for 3-4 minutes.
  • Let rest in bacon grease (the patties will absorb some of it!) for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

This recipe makes four servings.  We split it into four salmon cakes.
