Heavy Whipping Cream for this Keto Whipped Cream Recipe

Whipped cream is an essential part of the dessert experience. The creamy texture, the sweet taste, the indulgent treat. Who doesn’t love a dollop of whipped cream, especially on top of Keto Pumpkin Pie or other low carb dessert? When you’re on a low-carb or Keto diet, you might think whipped cream is off limits but it’s not true! Whip up a quick batch of our Keto Whipped Cream and add it to your favorite low carb dessert.

Carbs in Keto Whipped Cream

Some people mistakenly believe that there are zero carbs in heavy whipping cream. There are actually 0.4 grams of carbs in each tablespoon of heavy cream!

Those few carbs are not a big deal, even for people who are very strict on their carb counts, as long as you stick to reasonable servings. Avoid the temptation to eat large amounts of heavy whipping cream, whether in this Keto Whipped Cream or in other recipes. Not only do the carbs sneak up on you, large amounts of fat will rack up the calories. If you’re not tracking and paying attention, that kind of calorie load may put the brakes on your weight loss.

But a dollop of whipped cream on top of an awesome Keto dessert? That sounds like a win to me!
